Heroes… Small Minds Worship People.

Small minds talk about people, average minds talk about events, and great minds talk about ideas. Holding people sacred and blindly following them is a sure sign that you are a little mind. We are conditioned by education, the news media, and the entertainment industry to look up to people. If you know more about the average celebrities life than you know what is going on in the world you are the smallest of minds. This does not only apply to living people many worships past heroes, fictional heroes, or religious figures.

This does not mean that if you are at this level you can not change it. Simply changing your attitude towards the celebrities paraded in front of you and realize they are mere people and no more special than you are. Then start learning about events going on in the world. Don’t just listen to the mainstream news outlets or alternative media outlet, look into the events from as many different angles as you can and try to learn all of them and understand them from the perspective of as many different interested parties as possible. If you do this you will be an average mind.

Now when you take the facts you have learned about the events and start to analyze them for large themes and understanding the motivations behind the actors involved this is the first step to becoming a great mind. You are trying to find the ideas behind what is happening by using logic and intuition as well as an understanding of how people tend to think and react from their perspective (not coloring their action based on the prism you interpret the world).

When you start to think in other peoples perspective and understand why they are doing what they are doing and how this fits into the larger perspective of the world you are becoming a great mind, but still not there yet. You need to learn to use logic and intuition to sift through all the data and make conclusions that have a deeper understanding about the events as they are actually happening and not just picking the narrative you feel is best. Evaluating information and coming to your own conclusion independent of others opinions is a great mind.

It does not stop there though. To be a truly free thinking free-willed individual you have to be able to understand the larger ideas and apply them to unrelated events. You have to be able to develop your own ideas and put them out there to be judged by others. This does not mean you have to be correct, and in fact will often be wrong, but the true free thinkers out there will take this additional input and reevaluate their position and adjust it accordingly. Only when you hold ZERO sacred beliefs and everything is up for scrutiny, only when you admit everything you believe is true could be wrong, only when you dare to challenge the orthodoxy with your own ideas will you learn to think for yourself and have the greatest mind of all, your own.

It’s time you stop worshiping the military, the founding fathers, the Kardashians, Superman, or even Thor. The powers that be love small minds. They can always create another celebrity and give them the ideas they want their followers to have and thus manipulating the masses of little brains into doing their bidding. It is harder to manipulate those that follow events, but only slightly. The news media (both mainstream and “alternative”) feed you the stories they want you to focus on and give you the sides to choose from, and the vast majority of people will take up one side or the other, and not say wait a minute, both these sides are crazy and wrong. When you start questioning and looking for other sides not immediately presented you become very hard to control, which means you become freer. Freedom is not a piece of paper or court decision it is in the mind. Once you free your mind of all those trying to influence you will be the greatest thinker of them all, a free one.
