Frederich Nietzsche (1844-1900) was a man of many talents. Philosopher, poet, cultural critic, philologist, Latin and Greek scholar. Nietzsche had (and has to this day) an immense influence on Western philosophy.

Frederich Nietzsche's Knowledge Bomb

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.

My interpretation of what Nietzsche is saying here is simple. There will be people that don't get what you do. They won't understand who you are, your dreams and your ideas. In their own sheltered minds, they might see you as weird, strange, eccentric, or whatever word they choose to deride you.

No matter what these people think, stay strong and realize that they can't hear the same music that you do. Stay true to what you feel strongly about. Stay true to your art, your loves, your passions, your dreams, and ideas.

As long as you hear the music that makes you dance, keep on dancing.
