It should be made so that I can decide if someones opinion (their upvotes and downvotes) matters to me in the same way I can decide if their posts matter to me (follow or ignore)

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
