I'm sorry.
I'm not a poet, nor I was born in babylon. I'm living at a timeline where "sms" was introduced and have been adopted by the mass.. where people write "h r u" and reply "im fyn" and communication happens.
telling goodnight is annoying but telling "nyt" is considered appropriate.
And hey aren't we going off-topic?
A man was born in a world where merchants selling wares in the temple was expected and normal.
Whether something is considered appropriate by the masses should have no bearing on how you act. Texting a few characters to get a point across is one thing; having the ability to text affect your entire written world is something else entirely.
Regardless of when or where you live, one's voice can move someone to tears or be ignored without a second thought. I don't understand why anyone would argue to be content stripping themselves of their power to help their fellow man.
Our world is ill with a plague: one which strips so many of their agency. With so many believing their hands are tied, unable to act or change themselves or our world, pain and suffering are allowed to spread like wild fire. Just little changes here or there, even something as a simple as an offhand comment to a stranger, can radically alter our collective trajectory. Thus, love becomes the act of growing our garden and all those in it towards the light. Those that become aware of how much power they hold at any given moment and do not attempt to cultivate it will surely have that weighed against them upon judgment, if their soul were ever judged.
And just like that we're back on topic.
