Jesus and Kierkegaard

Considering that Kierkegaard's idea of the Leap of Faith is so much similar to Jesus' proclamation that happy are those who believe without seeing (John 20:29), I find it hard to understand why humans have decided that "thinking" is opposite of "faith". This ultimately makes this my favorite of his quotes, "People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use." For example, somebody tells you that to give any credence to evolution is an insult to God, or that evolution refutes theism without ever considering that evolution could actually be a tool, deviced by God to automate creation at some point. God could have vanished water to the Israelites, but he simply told Moses that there was water in a nearby rock, because from the beginning, he made the system very robust, putting Islands in the oceans, and oases in deserts. Evolution could be part of that robustness. Some see science as an alternative to Theism, when science, could actually just be the study of God's work in creation, an idea shared by Albert Einstein and many other notable scientists. We create conflicts because of our inability to see the common denominator in so many things in life. So, Christianity for example has become so greatly fragmented because people have decided to force their poor thinking on others. Then they tell their followers that thinking is offensive to God, simply as a tool to maintain their loyalty, born of ignorance. They tell you never to question man-made doctrines. Hence Jesus said in Mark 7:7, "So well did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites, just as it has been written: 'This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. And in vain do they worship me, teaching the doctrines and precepts of men.' For abandoning the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men, to the washing of pitchers and cups. And you do many other things similar to these." God gave man a very complex brain for a reason.

Have a beautiful week.

Evolution is a joke. The more we know about cells, DNA, and life in general the more we know evolution is an idiotic theory. We're supposed to believe that single celled organisms just appeared out of nothing. And that led to trillion cell organisms arising from that. It's hard not to say that with a smirk. Life is a trillion times too complicated to arise by chance.

Exactly my point. Not chance. Plan. God is the only one with the ability to predict the future. Why does he have to create all things piece by piece? It's like saying God should create every human from dust like Adam. Why not create a base, then set it in motion to generate more. Remember when He said, "Go into the world and multiply." Nobody said He didn't mean in population and in species as well. God has always seemed to like systems that self correct, adapt and repeat when needed. Like how the rivers flow into the ocean, and rain into the rivers, and repeat. Hw the earth keeps rotating around the same star. The work of a true creator. The same things humans are trying to replicate with memory metals, self healing roads and AI. An adaptive system. What better way is there to do that than an evolutionary system? I'm not saying life came to earth by chance. That's foolish. I'm not saying the universe was created by chance, that's senseless. The design is too perfect to be by chance. I just mean that the fact that we can explain them with science means somebody (God) designed them with a similar technique. Hence Einstein said his true goal was to understand God. Jesus said the tree that does not bear fruit shall die. The Bible also said his place shall be taken by another, about the traitor. Evolution takes a failing species, and from it creates one better adapted for life in a new world.
