7 deeply philosophical/psychological things to ponder about The Universe, Existence and Human Mind

in philosophy •  7 years ago

It's been over a month since my last 10 Questions to make your Brain Hurt Challenge post. Since I'm the kind of person that always try to come up with some new twist, I'll make a different kind of post here. Lately I've been making a few Dmaina posts and I've always had bit of a thing for Philosoraptor posts as they tend to be kind of smart while also being funny. Not all of my following pondering thoughts are going to fit into a meme. But hopefully they'd intrigue you. Just because I write them below doesn't mean I agree with them or that they are my personal views. I just want you guys to start thinking in unusual ways. I want to push thinking; not opinions.

1)What if that our reality isn't some virtual reality. What If in our attempts we have actually figured out parts of the syntax of reality and we are unknowingly playing god with our VR and AI developments. What if omni-sensory VR is emulating the creation of the reality instead of our reality being a simulation.

2)Isn't Big Bang just Creationism without a creator. We have an origin point. Isn't this talk about ultra high density just a way to avoid "something out of nothing" explanation. How did this single origin point came to be. How does Quantum Mechanics play in these kind of situations? Is it possible to see a Quantum Singularity? Above all, what would happen to the conscious minds?

3)What if we are reborn as long as we have an attachment to life whether we do or do not believe in life after death?
What if we are not born again if we had no desire to live our lives. What if someone got either bored or just fed up with life and was never reborn after death. Would that person be better off than us? Does absence of suffering outweight the benefits of the existence of suffering?

4)If you reach the highest form of pleasure, how would you know it. You can only know the extent of your pleasure in relative terms. Without something slightly less pleasurable, you won't be able to realize that you have reached a blissful state even if you are at the highest point of pleasure in existence. In relative terms the second most pleasurable thing is a form of suffering. Therefore, there can only be "Suffering" and "Not-Suffering"

5)When I'm thinking about myself and when you are thinking about me, we are thinking about 2 different images.
We have an information asymmetry. No 2 people seems to know each other perfectly. But what if we somehow gap this information asymmetry. What if 2 people know everything about each other. That would mean kind of a Quantum Entanglement. It would also mean instantaneous communication. In much simpler terms, a person would be able to be present at 2 places at once.

6)Now add multiple layers and sharding to the above scenario. Multiple layers of symmetrical communication would mean that not only a person could be at 2 or more places at once; but also that individual would appear as different entities. This individual-plurality will be made possible by having a different body (which could even belong to a different or even an imaginary species) that operate like additional layers of a complex smart contract platform. Sharding would mean that different "individuals" at different places would act and live uniquely. We could even have a person be born as his son and live a separate life and die and nothing would happen to the original (if you can call it that). For an example, think multi-tasking several mobile games at once.

7)What is time but a name we call for the perception of 2 separate instances. If we play a static image 24 times a second and show it to someone, that person would swear that the video is paused. What we perceive as time is an side-effect of change. We can only measure things when we perceive them. What if the unit of thought/mind is the smallest unit of time? Let me be clearer. Without 2 different thoughts/mind-instances we can't perceive time. Therefor we could actually say that thoughts exist beyond the realm of time. This could explain many psychic and spiritual connection.
Our thoughts are abound by cause and effect and requires chronology. But time has no such basis. It's a perception like the weight of an object which changes based on whether you are on Earth, space or Moon. The severity of the change and chronology of the events is what create the illusion of time. If this is true, I wonder how this would affect our interpretations of the works of Einstein.

The love of solitude often attracts the 7 into spiritual pursuits where they can retreat to the mountain top and learn the secrets of true
living. This may work for the 7 for a lifetime, but many ×nd that there’s still a natural hunger for some type of intimacy. The challenge in this
incarnation for the 7 is ×guring out how to balance out this dichotomy.
As a child the 7 would skip rocks not to count how far the stone got, but to watch the resulting ripples. The 7’s mantra is “nothing is only
skin deep”. They will look for those very same ripples in every moment, every experience which has the bene×t of catching information that
others overlook.

I don't mean any of these as absolute truths. They may or may not be true. They might be partially true. But ever since I was a lonely (by choice) kid I was thinking stuff like this. It's a workout for the brain. I've never publicly shared this kind of content before. Steemit has given me access to a wonderful community where I can happily share this kind of content knowing that it won't be a waste. As you can see, the 7 pondering thoughts are 7 because of a reason too. I have a thing for meta-narratives and over-stuffing things with details. Until next time...

Wow ! A mix of spirituality and quantum physics !!
About the 1st one : what if our mind can't really create, but can only remember ?

Anything we create is going to get added to our memory and they will be remembered. We are going to have a memory of our creations. That doesn't mean we can't really create. Everything we know and remember is past. But that doesn't mean there isn't going to be a future.
