The Past is a Story; The Future is a Story; The Present is a Choice

I am always coming from somewhere. And I am always going somewhere.

This is what I see unfolding in my experience of life.

I see that I have a past, where I have come from.
And I see that I have a future, where I am going.

However, I also see that both that past and that future are stories, and it is fully up to me how those stories are told.

How these stories are told is directly correlated to Who I am Now. Who I be is a choice.

If I choose to be vengeful, prideful and regretful; then the story that is told will be of one who has been hurt and victimized and who has had so many terrible things happen in this life, and one who will get revenge on those who have wronged me and prove to everyone that they were wrong to hurt me!

If I choose to be compassionate, forgiving, and generous; the story that is told will be of one who has had a lot of experiences in this life that may have hurt me, but have helped me to learn; a story of one who has forgiven those with whom I have had conflict with and have chosen to continue to love myself and love them; a story of one who continues to move forward in life to help alleviate the suffering of myself and all those around me.
