@carinewhy Yes we lived in Invercargil for 3.5 years and moved to Auckland for 3 years . We are permanent residents of NZ and now we are living in Malaysia . In my opinion , New Zealand is only place where God resides and making connection with everyone in this world. I became very spiritual and be able to connect to myself deeply over there. Nature's energies are simply amazing and intense. We could experience intrinsically but we could not able to describe with word . It is power of God or modern believe called Super Conscious Mind or Universe. Please dont miss Arthur's Pass , Nelson and Doubful Sound. We enjoyed Doubful Sound after few months of visit of Milford Sound . May be immediate visit from Milford might be a bit boring . Hence , please plan your trip ; my personal advice please visit North Island and then South Island . The geography placement and vegetation are totally different . My best wishes to you and if possible try to connect to your self by keeping silent and witness the nature without any intention.

@carinewhy Amazing place . We have been to this place before when we were living Invercargill ,NZ just 3 hours away from home . Have you tried the cruise ride and underwater coral exploration ? It was simply amazing to witness God's creation. Having a cup of coffee near the Fiordland was unforgettable memory. My next venture will be hiking and trekking. Did you experience Kea the rubber eating bird disturbance? My BMW viper almost got eaten by them . Pleasant memories and I can still recall the breeze over the Fiordland . Thanks for rekindling the memories .

Wow, you lived in NZ before! It's so cool. I have never been to invercargill yet.
I tried cruise ride in Milford Sound but not underwater coral exploration. I will definitely try it, it sounds so amazing.
Hiking tracks in New Zealand are awesome. I tried some short tracks when I was I in Christchurch but not Fiordland.
I saw one kea too! I did't know it is so aggressive, rubber eating?
? Really? It was so poor that many tourists were chasing it for photos but that bird couldn't escape lol.
