The Dutch government is switching to a stupid phone called Sectra Tiger / R, which has only a search and SMS feature, as a precaution against any cyber attack.
The authorities in the Netherlands, who leave their smartphones 'at home' for any security threats during their travels abroad, are receiving a Sectra phone, which does not have any internet connection and application support for their communication needs.
Based on a standard Samsung Android phone, the Sectra Tiger / R promises features far from an Android phone. The device features voice and text messaging only. It is also possible to transfer data over registered and secure networks.
According to the information Sectra wrote on the website, Tiger / R was not developed for any consumer. The device was developed with the aim of protecting the senior authorities like government authorities from any chewing attack. The device features audio, text and hardware-based encryption for top-level security.
