Boost your phone juice

It's ironic how my phone's battery life is counting backwards, from 100 to 0 ... in less than half of a day. Imagine if we human beings lived like that.
As this eerily pseudo philosophic dash pokes my mind, I get curious and research multiple methods of ... keeping my phone from 'reincarnating' thousands of times.
Apart from the typical shibboleths of "turn off your bluetooth", "lower your light", "close unused apps" and so forth, my research made me find some slightly alternative tech tricks for boosting your battery.

Give your 📱a thermal jacket

Now that we have already anthropomorphized your phone as a living creature ("it is dying"), it would be logical to conclude that it has some human needs, right?!
Well. At least when it comes to temperature regulation, to a specific (temperature) degree.
Your phone will 'die' more rapidly if exposed to too high/low temperatures. You can do a little trick, especially in the cold winters, when your phone randomly shuts, despite being at 40% (happened multiple times to me at least!)
The trick: Put your phone near your skin or underneath something warm, like your pillow - and wait 2-5 min. ✨ Magic! ✨

... However, it's not magic but science. Modern phones today have lithium ion batteries which are sensitive towards hefty variations of temperature. Li-ion batteries' charging performance tends to be better at cooler temperatures allowing "fast-charging".
More interestingly though, the company Indiegogo launched a "thermal coat" for your poor freezing / sweating phone, to help it conserve as much battery as possible.

Charge multiple partial times

To recapture my phone-personification example: It is better to eat small meals multiple times a day than eating one gigantic meal and feel bloated. Similar trick functions with Li-ion batteries and charging techniques. If you overcharge it or let it drain till 0%, your battery will take revenge by randomly switching your phone off whilst you're having a highly important conversation. Then it will let off a vicious laughter as you plug in the charger, making you glare furiously at the icon of a dead battery: "Game Over" and then kill your electricity bill.

The best method to conserve your battery life, and I guarantee you this: Shut it. I'm sure you don't really need to have it open as frequently as you imagine.
