The Ambient lighting

-
Your Creativity and patient.
We may own a super phone, many may still only use it for calling and texting. Then you come across a beautiful object that you wanted to take a picture.
Yes, you took that shot but it was not good enough for your family and friends to see.
So here I am, will be sharing a bit of my knowledge of How to get a Great professional photos with your phone.
It does not matter what kind of smart phone you are holding or own.
The phone sellers and telco companies have all these features of capturing photos or else, they are lost in translation.
capture a beautiful photos with your phone.
In the image above is a phone. When you capture a specific subject and you want to blur the rest around that subject, you need to touch that subject with your fingers.
On a mobile Iphone it shows a square and the line next to the square where you can select the down and up bar. This apply either you want a darker tone or a brighter tone of your photos. In short, lighting adjustment.
Often times, my images need not to be everything is sharp. Need not to be in the center.
In using DSLR cameras, we do have what we called DEPTH OF FIELD. This means that the sharpness to any part of our image. It can be side, down, up, left, right or center.
But, consider with your own POINT OF VIEW. What are you going to emphasise in your image?
So, base on my image above, I am emphasising that the focus or focal point on this image is at the very left. It is facing and communicating to others. But without the need of sharpening the rest of the mickey mouse fruits.
this images is taken in a gloomy day. no lights. but with the phone settings I get enough lights and sharpness
In the image above, the subject is facing down, don't you think it is a cute one? What do I emphasise here? I am emphasising that the beautiful orange colour Mickey mouse fruit is showing its finger while facing down.
THERE IS NO RULE OF TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS.. BE CREATIVE
A GREAT PHONE PHOTOGRAPHY DEPENDS ON THE PERSON BEHIND THAT CAMERA. COORDINATION WITH PROPER LIGHTING AND ADJUSTMENT.
In this image, it looks very boring. However, it speaks that it is taken in a busy environment. It has a limited lights. Therefore, your phone adjustment is your only option.
Though I have to tell you... capturing an image using phones cannot compare the best images with DSLR such as these cameras like this:
Here are more example for you in capturing images with your phone.
It has a limited lights. Therefore, your phone adjustment is your only option.
If you notice to these 2 images above, what do they have in common? I focus on one particular object. Blur the rest.
If you notice to these above 2 images again, I do not capture the whole plate. I also leave a space to the left side of the images. But notice that almost everything of the fruit is clear and sharp?
What do these images attract your eyes? It's the colour right? Choosing your subject is another key that your images turn stunning. I love taking pictures with combination of ambient lights, colour and shapes.
Here are white colour images as an example
In these 2 images above, the colour are pretty off. They are all white. But sometimes, even the most off colour or no colour subject can be turn into a beautiful one. That depends again on how you capture it using your phone.
When I capture an image, even to the most crowded place around it, I can be patient. I wait.
Why I argue with people using built in flush from phone? It just sucks! Period.
I never, ever, use phone flush when taking any photographs from my phone.
To summarise of that, again, there is no right and wrong in capturing a great and looking like professional images using your phone.
Be watchful.
Be creative.
Be yourself.
One more thing, if you take a selfie image of yourself, try using a selfie stick. look for the ambient light that it faces your face so that your image is bright like you are using a beauty filter.
Also consider final editing your images before posting it. Like cropping, lighting such as contrast or so.
What do I use for editing my mobile phone images?
These beauty apps from Amazon does great job.
But if you are on a budget, try photoshop for mobile and camera 360.
I hope to bring you some knowledge today that in return, you can give me some love.
