I understand the natural impulse to play with electronic gadgets in an air conditioned environment as opposed to doing the chores outside in the summer heat or taking advantage of the clear skies with a hike or bike ride. But with me at least I have age as an excuse.
I think it's the nature of societies that as they grow older each new generation doesn't measure up in the eyes of the previous generation. Most of that sentiment is bullshit but not when it comes to electronic gadgets. Computer games, cell phones, tik tok.
The younger generations are definitely missing out on the greatest stage of life for discovery and excitement by sacrificing hiking, climbing, diving, surfing, fishing, skiing, racing and wrestling in favor of scoring points on a screen.
