Little LBJ's That Made my Day

Well let me be honest here, first of all; as much as I might know about nature, I still have a great deal to learn, especially when it comes to our indigenous birdlife – so I really have no clue what these birds in the pictures are called

(and yes, I do realize that the second picture is in fact a tree squirrel)

Secondly, it is not always to say that something needs to be bright and/or flashy to be beautiful, sometimes you will find that if you just look at the things that might appear to be average looking at first glance, that they hold a very unique beauty in their own rights.

As the title suggests LBJ’s: For those of you who might not be familiar with this abbreviation; It is short for “Little Brown Jobs”

There might not be any extraordinary reason that I share these pictures today other than the fact that they are such perfectly beautiful little creatures in their own rights, and while each and every single one of them plays a tiny, yet, crucial role in the environment they also lend a sense of livelihood and vibrancy to their surroundings.

This just reminded me today that there is so much beauty that surrounds us every single day that we tend to overlook because we are focused on the things and places where we expect to find beauty.

I appreciate it!

Awesome photo @breezin. I like it. . Thankyou for sharing.

My pleasure

It's true - all of nature is amazing - even the little brown jobs. I once went on a wildlife walk in Chitwan National Park in southern Nepal. It was a great day but we didn't see a tiger and the guides seemed disappointed that I was going to be disappointed but I was like 'are you kidding?! I just loved seeing the resplendant wild chicken foraging and doing its wild thing in its own place in the world.'.....and I did see a tiger footprint :)

It sounds amazing, pitty that you didn't see the tiger but a priveledge that you saw the beauty in the small blessings around you

beautiful, greetings!

:D
