After being tested at Motegi last year, finally at Assen 2017, the Grand Prix Commission (GPC) endorsed the plan of using messaging system via Dashboard (Dashboard Message system) starting season 2018 for MotoGP and Moto3 classes.
.
Later the team can send a message to rebalap using a one-way communication path where the message can be read by the rider on the Dashboard Meter. As for the new Moto2 will be used starting the 2019 season, in the information, GPC itself add list-list what any fix messages allowed to be sent by the team to the rider along with the warning lightnya indicators.
.
Interestingly, a team team that currently has a text receipt facility on its dashboard can already use it as a "Virtual Pitboard" without any changes to the regulation.
.
Regarding the thought of the use of this communication medium the origin of the possibility of a previous Grandprix event where there is a case of Miss-Communication between Pitlane staff and Pebalap in an event Flag to Flag race or other cases.
.
An example is not Valentino Rossi will BOX messages sent to him via the Pit Box, or Black Flag penalty to Hector Barbera in MotoGP Austria 2016 due to ignore the Ride Through Penalty command because Barbera itself did not see any information on the Pitboard.
.
Positive and Negative Potential Of course.
.
Positive of course when viewed from safety glasses where the rider can know more certain messages from the team on crucial things such as the requirement to Box to undergo Ride Through Penalty, enter Pit lane to undergo strategy Flag To Flag, or menginfokan state motor problems such as kkebocoran lubricants and others.
