Greetings, my subscribers and blog guests!

There is a very large number of species of coniferous plants from exotic to most common.
Now I want to tell you about thuja western Smaragd (thuja occidentalis Smaragd).
Many gardeners already have it - such a slender beauty, unpretentious and easy to care for, and it is also used in city parks and administrative buildings.
Smaragd can reach a height of 3-4 meters, is very positive about the haircut, so you can always restrain its growth.
Tui is not whimsical, as she used to say - you can put her anywhere in the garden, she is not afraid of the frost not the heat, she can grow in the sun and in the shade - she hangs everywhere, but her decorative appearance may suffer.
If you want to have a beauty on your site, plant it in the penumbra of your garden, prefer thuja to light loams, add humus, sand, and ashes, do not forget about drainage, so that there is no stagnation of water near the roots, from what kind of soil you have on the site. After planting, water is watered 1-2 times a week 5-10 liters (depending on the size of the planting material and weather conditions), as it reacts positively to spraying or sprinkling, do not forget about mulching - you can use peat, humus or crushed bark of trees, wood chips.
The best time for planting is spring, you can start summer so that it can take root well.
The easiest way to propagate by cuttings is by taking a twig with a heel of 10-15 cm, it's best to do it in the early spring, and wake up the kidneys - we prepare a light primer, sand and humus 1: 1, lower the stalk into a root and put it in a pot, do not forget about the holes in the a pot for the care of excess water - we make a greenhouse - you can cover with a jar or a package, just do not forget to open it for airing

It is well suited for creating a hedge, and you can also plant it in a container and decorate the garden in any places not accessible for it, it is very widely used in landscape design.
And you have thuya ...

Sincerely, Feyacvetov.
