The fruit looks like a big zucchini or cucumber, but at first it becomes hard and heavy as it grows. If left to stand as it gets ripe, the weight will be lighter and it will become a little smoother.

You can't eat ripe fruit, but when you boil it and peel it, the pulp inside turns into a fiber and becomes a sponge.
It is sometimes used for bathing.
