Doronicum

in photo •  5 years ago

This plant comes from Southeast Europe and Asia Minor. It has large, jagged, heart-shaped, smooth leaves. Most of the leaves are collected on the ground in a rosette.
It blooms from April to June. Flowers are 30-50 cm high and end in yellow inflorescences - baskets.

The flower requires fertile, slightly moist soil. It grows best in partial shade, but can grow in the sun. Fully frost resistant. In one place, doronicum can grow for several years, then you need thinning. It is best to do this in early spring by dividing the plant and, thus, obtaining new seedlings that are planted at a distance of 30 x 35 cm.
