The legend about gerberas

Legend says that there was a beautiful angel in the sky. From time to time he had to fly above the ground. Once he saw a girl walking along a sunlit meadow and picking flowers. An angel came down and heard a wonderful song that she sang. The girl was so beautiful that his heart trembled, and he fell in love. But, unfortunately, they cannot be together: heavenly angels with girls from the earth, so the angel gathered a bunch of stars in the sky and scattered them in the meadow, where she loved to walk.

When she approached him again, she saw spots of bright orange, yellow and all shades of red. The girl clapped her hands in joy. Angel smiled sadly. Since then, gerberas have become a symbol of sincere joy and recognition of eternal love.
