I adore the village river because of its unique natural beauty at any time of year. And while we're there, we'll probably stop by to admire the river - the state's largest and deepest lake - a high-mountain glacial lake teeming with big trout and a swarm of crayfish, which, as you might know, can only survive in clear water. A small ferry service runs to an islet in the center of the lake. The entrance fee is payable.
The lake is nestled in the midst of the mountains. To claim there are a lot of trout is an understatement! It's fun to swim to an island in the middle of the lake on a raft and make a secret wish... And, of course, walking around the lake on the road. Water that is crystal clear, to put it that way. It is very cool here in any heat, so it is best to go in the summer when it is hot to find the desired coolness.
This year, we were in for a major letdown: the lake had become shallow, with the water level dropping by 3 metres, the fish had vanished, and there were as few as two crayfish. It's depressing.
Muy bonita la foto, saludos desde Venezuela Los Teques.
