Some times Fishing is not always done with a rod. For this case, when hiking in Northern California parks, one can use a camera to fish for the sights that natures has to offer. This beautiful fungi was spotted when walking of the trails of Loc Lomond reservoir in Santa Cruz.
The color was very rich for it not to be spotted from ten feet away. Among the brown fallen leafs and the clumpy soil, a glow of sun shine emitted from the bottom. The tree bark created the perfect backdrop for the fungi to illuminate the landscape.
With the breath of fresh air, the fungi was left untouched for it can bring joy to future hikers and trail blazers. For the ants and spiders to find cover or create a home. For the birds and the wild animals that stay near can have a meal.
Hope you enjoy!!
