The Australian Skipper Steven Smith won the prideful Allan Border medal for the second time in his career. Such a prestigious award! Smith got 246 votes in total and scored 1754 runs during 2016-17 season. For the Ashes win as a skipper and leading from the front he got the award. For getting the award Smith told emotionally, "I've really worked hard on my game over the last few years. For me, though the summer I probably wasn't hitting the ball as well as I have wanted to but my mind was in a fantastic place".
