Photochallenge FlowerSaturday

My favourite Hibiscus flower after a fresh shower of rain!

The Hibiscus bloom lasts only about 2 days. It opens on day one, open for another day, close and falls off after that. So when you see the bloom you must enjoy it. They are also not a cut flower and don't last if you pick them, but sometimes I do pick them and let them float in a bowl.

The photo was taken with Hubby's Samsung GalaxyS6.

I initiated flowersaturday but after a while, I did not promote it. Feel free to post your flowers under the tags photochallenges , flowersaturday.

Thank you for looking. Enjoy the weekend!

Interesting, A neighbor has some beautiful yellow Hibiscus that I have photographed a number of times. I did not know that they were not the same flowers from one day to the next. I will have to see if they are falling off after 2 days.

Hi @anothervoice. Keep your eye on the neighbour's hibiscus, better still get yourself one. The bloom last only for two days! Thank you for commenting!

You are right! The sun came out for a couple of days and seven hibiscus bloomed and they lasted 2 to 3 days. I don't know when I will see more. It now just cold and wet, no sun. I may be posting the photos later. Thanks Hope!

I told you so ;-) I would love to see the photos. Here it is seething hot which is also not good for the flowers, my latest bloom's colours are not so vibrant and seems a bit faded.

I was thinking of posting tomorrow but I guess I will wait for FlowerSaturday.
