Great night in with my pal Paulo a couple of years back. His ability to hold still during a long exposure is admirable.
Lens and tripod swapping was the order of the night.
I first fire the shutter in complete darkness, macro for Paulo's eye exposed by a single flashgun and lens cap on. Next I swapped tripods and then swapped lenses for the Tamron @17mm with a piece of card in front of the camera with a hole cut in the middle. Large diffuser (office chair mat) beyond that for the inner part of the figure with its hands up.
All shot during a single long exposure in complete darkness.
Raw conversion in LR with minimal tweaks to the highlights and clarity.
This has been on my to-do list for some time and I love it.
