Virus 2.0 - lightpainting in my kitchen "sook"steemCreated with Sketch.

Yet another night of crazy weather which isn't conducive to lightpainting and another night messing about in the kitchen with zoom pulling and kinetic camera movement.

For this shot, first I focussed and zoom pulled on the circuit board with the main chip in the middle so as to leave a dark space unexposed. Once happy with the first part I replaced the lens cap without ending the exposure and swapped tripods and pointed at the Ikea Gamsebo bulb. I then switched lenses in complete darkness to the 20mm prime which was already pre-focussed and exposed for two seconds before panning the camera slowly to the right for the top left hand trail and then panned over to the left but slightly quicker. Ended the exposure, job done.

I've been calling these kinds of shots, "SOOK" as in straight outta the kitchen because they literally were created in my kitchen! I still feel compelled to say that this shot was created in one photographic exposure and is not a Photoshop creation.

About me: I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.
