Mardi Gras Universal (19).jpg

Last weekend was the start of one of the most festive celebrations at Universal Studios -- Mardi Gras.

I'm not a huge participant in Mardi Gras myself, but I can't resist the fun, vibrant costuming.

You've managed to capture some interesting and fun moments. The costumes are amazing. I hope I'll have the chance to see this live one day, looks like a fun event.

It really is a blast! And it's definitely a favorite event for locals.

I can see that from the photos.

Beautiful, your photos are full of color and emotions, manage to convey the joy of Mardi Gras

the Mardi Gras festival photos that you've taken were very colourful, it must have been fun being there, isn't it

Well, I knew of Universal Studio's tradition of parades with costumes and floats. But I knew not that they go as far as to celebrate culturally great events like Mardi gras and the what not. They seem all so passionate to be on the floats / on stage, to display the traditions and celebratory nature of mardi gras. Though I am no person of Latin American nor Hispanic descent and have only seen a few with my friends of such, I must say that at least it feels like they're having fun and not trying to abuse the event. Dunno, but it is a great way to be exposed, on a familial level, to different cultures and how they fashion themselves. :p

To get on with the picture-taking, I must say I adore and respect yah as a picture-taking connoisseur myself. Though these things come naturally to us, we will be stumped when we took a picture and there's a picture we knew we didn't capture. In any a case, all these fotos (photos) look splendid, vibrant in colours, sharp and high on details. So yah clearly took the time and effort to snap a foto (photo), doctor it a bit (or modify [photoshop] the foto a bit) for contrast and choose the best ones to present to our eyes today. So we all are grateful to see such a beautiful collection of fotos (photos). Anywho, congrats on that @curie vote!

So keep on snappin' fotos (photos) and happy steeming!

Yeah, the parks really enjoy various holidays! I have actually ridden on one of the Mardi Gras parade floats at Universal LOL.

Wow, that sounds like a whole tale to tell just right there. Must've been a real unexpected treat right there~
