Good Afternoon Steemworld :)
Another camera rotation shot from me today, it’s something I knew as soon as I first saw an example of camera rotation that I wanted to explore and play around with more and after building my first rotation tool back in 2012 I haven’t looked back since.
This is quite a simple one to make, as this is effectively me wearing a latex dog mask (Gasp, that’s not a real dog you say? No, Unfortunately not but I can also say with pride no animals were harmed in the making of this photograph lol)
So to make this photograph I’ve sat myself on the bottom of a set of stairs and positioned some gelled flash’s behind me on the stairs too.
On the front of the lens I’ve masked off half of the frame (the hallway beside the stairs) prior to starting the photograph, which I intended for the other part of the rotation to sit.
I’ve then started the exposure, fired of the flashes and got up and capped the lens.
I’ve then rotated the camera around 180 degrees using the camera rotation tool, I’ve then adjusted the cardboard used to blank off the hallway again , uncapped the lens for the final time and sat back down on the bottom of the stairs again and fired off the flashes again and then stopped the exposure.
Job done and a good way to while away a few hours whist it’s raining rather than watch Tv.
Shot in one continuous exposure.
Raw conversion in camera with minor tweaks in lightroom mobile.

Ha ha yeah it’s always the set up that takes more time, I remember I spent an age getting it so the stair post in the middle blended a nicely as it does and makes it look like it a whole piece and not two masked off halves 👍
