So in interest for people out there that might care. I am working on an RPG game with a friend of mine. The game is set in a fantasy realm similar to that of D&D and WoW (though before mechanization and guns and stuff) as a small little project to do. Anyways I am working on making the visual resources for the game (textures, tiles, skins, sprites, etc) and he is more focusing on the programming. Anyways these were my first 2 attempts at making paper and as you can see they aren't super bad. There is still progress to be made but considering the graphics are 2d with an eagles eye view, I doubt it will matter too much.
Right now the game engine is built and basic processes are being handled but most of the base classes (weapons, armor, items, character, NPC, PC, etc) are already programmed. The game uses turn based combat, similar to older final fantasy games, where once you are in combat you will have a team of combatants and you can be fighting multiple enemies. Though I should add that the game is a fair bit more in depth with how things work than final fantasy. Primary development of the game is being done with SDL on linux though the code has been tested and seems to work on windows as long as you recompile it on windows which makes sense. Sorry I haven't posted in a while (though I don't have a following) school got busy and so was family. Anyways in the meantime I have given my posting key to @kryzsec to vote on my behalf in his bot, or something. So yeah!
