A small type B orca changing her direction to investigate the large vessel due to her curious nature. This photo is from the same encounter we had on March 8, 2018 near deception Island, where these pods of orca were chasing and herding Antarctic fur seals in large numbers. I am honestly still going through the 100’s & 100’s of photos I took from that 20 minute encounter and will be sending quite a few ID photographs to various researchers and data bases, along with the date, time and GPS position of the encounter. As well as, a short write up of what behaviour observations we witnessed and their general direction of travel.

Thank you! I can see how it would be, I have had dreams about seeing them and wanting to jump in with them, when I saw whales in Scotland I wanted to do the same! They are just such amazing animals, so intelligent, they have a real spiritual presence.
