The Pamir Highway - somewhere on the dusty road

Between the desert and the steppe is the emptiness

Taken on the Pamir Highway, Tajikistan.

I took this photo with my beloved, the best camera ever, almost 15 years old - Canon SureShot 115u. It's a 35mm camera that has been dropped from a galloping camel's back and survived. It's been lost and found in the Sahara (and still sounds sandy when the film winds on) and survived. And through these many experiences the feel of the images has matured along with the camera itself.

Woahzers.. another dreamlike place! I feel like im there! I know you said you were sifting through thousands of of your photos, so there must be more stunning pics on the way..? <3

Yep, lots more where this came from! And my new resolution is to continue taking them at the rate I'm sharing them :-)

Haha poor camera! It must be made of tough stuff because this picture is awesome! Great shot! :D

oh man, that image makes me want to shoot a film! So beautiful. you are lucky to have a camera that has stuck by you through thick and thin to help you make photos like this

It was a very cinematic part of the journey for sure! Yes I really love my camera; at the moment I can't actually afford to get many films developed though

maybe soon these photos will start to pay for themselves ;) x
