At the end of the waterfalls, the spray dances, liquid apparitions flirting in the light in the backdrop of the rocks.
At the end of the falls, ghosts roar out, ephemeral yet loud.
Haunting, Groaning, Haunting, Liquid.
They never relent.
The Ghosts series breaks the conventions of landscape photography. I wanted to convey the relentless haunting roars of dancing liquid apparitions as the jets of water rush to the base of the fall. Framed by the grandiose permanence of the waterfalls, these apparitions contort and change, like an intersection at rush hour on a time lapse, a transient quality that channels the characteristics of street photography into the natural world. The waterfalls possess an ephemeral beauty, fleeting like spirits in and out of our consciousness.
Part 2 later! Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback!
nice and very cool - lots of faces in there - reminds of the ghosts in the background of the the Haunting of Hill House
