Canal houses at the Damrak, Amsterdam

The Damrak is the canal and street between the Central Station and the Dam. It's a busy route: many tourists walk this route with a view on these houses. From this angle however, it looks quiet, peacefull and pittoresque.

Location: Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Category: architecture, structure, pattern.
Camera - lens: Nikon D610, 50mm/f1.8.
Camera - settings: 50mm, 1/640 at f/9, ISO 400.

I'm so traumatised from trying to cycle past the Damrak that I always forget how pretty this side of the street is.

I can imagine; it takes all your attention to travel safely by bike in Amsterdam. I haven't cycled in Amsterdam either. When I go there, I go by public transport and walk!

I'm about to move there and it's going to be a cycling nightmare compared to Groningen, hah.
