You look just as good as the day I met you...

My past two posts have included photos from this wedding that we shot in California a few years ago, but I wanted to eventually take the opportunity to post a more cohesive set of them, so here it is!

These two are actually good friends of ours, so it was really fun to photograph their wedding with all of our friends from America. Sabrina and I spent a solid day driving around the area of Sacramento where they lived to try and find anything that wasn't suburbs or city.

Eventually we found this park area, which normally isn't great for photographing in, as many city parks have a very manicured look, which isn't typically what we like to go for, but we thought we would take a look anyhow. Worst case scenario we may find that shooting in a manicured park isn't that bad after all right?

Well as it turned out we found this incredible area down a slightly steep hill that had all of these amazing gnarly tress and the light looked incredible at the time as well. Once we found the spot Sabrina and I knew that this was gonna be the spot to take some dramatic portraits, so on the wedding day we drove out to the park and as luck would have it the weather and light were even better than the day before!

We have always loved these photos but since they are a few years old they have been hiding in our hard drives for quite some time. Since our move to Spain though I have been going through old storage space to see what is where, just for backup purposes, and have been continually surprised by old gems like this that I can now post on Steemit!
