Knight Inlet Black Bear

A black bear (Ursus americanus) scrounging for food on the inter tidal zone in Knight Inlet near Mt Scriven. The inlet is traditionally called Tsawatti or Tswawadwi and is the longest fjord on the BC Coast at c. 125 kilometres in length. Great Bear Rainforest, Knight Inlet, British Columbia, Canada.

Interesting photo - the water color looks tropical ocean/beach, like polynesian beaches. The rocks have an odd mixture of colors and markings. Some look almost volcanic in color, others with multi-colored mosses. And, they look quite steep. That bear is brave; he looks like a resin cast figurine, so statuesque. Maybe, this is really a photo take in Middle Earth...
