Kungsleden

There is nothing like camping under the midnight sun. Mt Rusjka (1708m) and Unna Ruskkas (1477m) in the background sit at 67°52" N is well within the Arctic Circle in the Scandinavian Mountains (Scandes) in Swedish Lapland.

The camp (let me know if you can see the tent!) is along the Kungsleden at Singistugorna. The Kungsleden or King's Trail is a hiking trail in the far north of Sweden that is approximately 440-kilometre (270 mi) long, between Abisko in the north and Hemavan in the south. It passes through one of Europe's largest remaining wilderness areas. Love to get back there one day.

Tent on the middle right or there are some cabins?
Amazing open-spaces landscape there! Love to travel up the Scandinavian penninsula to experience that, here in middle Norway, around Trondheim area, mostly forests everywhere... Nice shot, like the light.

No they are some small cabins (toilet etc). A hit the tent looks like a rock. You can click and see larger.

Ughh i am going through the Travel tag and getting the travel bug for sure! This is so lovely. I come from a mountanous area, and would love to visit more mountains around the world. I hiked up in a mountain that is about 1400 meters today, for a nice morning hike. I would love to see the flowers and wilderness in Europe! shooting star.jpg

I love the depth that is appreciated due to the labluz of the sun that can still cross some clouds and makes that perception of distance in the photograph.
You managed to capture it at the right time, so that the mountain could be seen wrapped in the soft clouds of the clouds. The bottom is illuminated by the sun, wanting to be present in the clouds.
the subtle contrast between the upper part (sky with clouds) and soil (vegetation and water) has been phenomenal. Sincerely, if my voting power were higher I would gladly give you a tremendous vote. For now, here is my humble vote. regards @intrepidphotos

Yes there are lots of 'pristine' looking areas but very few large areas that could be defined as 'wilderness' with no history of development (farming/logging/etc) and no encroachment of roads etc.
