Mount Robson

in photofeed •  6 years ago

Seven out of ten times that we drive past Robson, it is covered in cloud. But when it’s out, it has to be one of the most scenic stretches of road in the world. The highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies, Robson towers above everything around it a 3,954 m (12,972 ft). Mount Robson Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada.

Nice tele shot, there! It looks like a warmer day, with no snow down in the foreground. Nice ighting, too.

Thanks. It was taken at 100mm (on FF camera)

That's about what I would have guessed, though the "hill" at the end of the road does make it look like there's a bit more compression. I'd love to upgrade to FF but, alas, being a graduate student is expensive.

Espectacular broth saludos !

Thanks

Very beautiful...... thank you dear friend 💗

Thanks

What a stunning photo! It is simply breathtaking.

Thanks

Love the striations, looks like snow mostly. Such an imposing mountain. Your eye expects to follow the highway to the horizon... then Wow!

Yup definitely snow.

Thanks. Always appreciate your comments .

What an amazing place and spectacular capture. Pure grandeur. How blessed you are to be in that part of the world.

Um... I have no more words. :)

;-)

Still a killer shot, no matter where I see it :) what was your focal length for this?

It is shot hand held at 100mm (full frame)

Dang I would have thought more, those mountains must be HUGE!

It is a huge mountain. It really does look like this as you drive towards it . People seem to really like this shot. Over 100k views on FB and 25k engagements (with over 1k shares) . Quite strange to me that this shot is doing so well as it was so little effort to take .

Eh, it doesn't always need to be technically a complicated thing, just gotta put yourself in the right places with the right eye!

Yes very true

Both of you are right!

fantastic pic.

very good! wonderful... thank you!

I‘ve been there by myself, even took a 2 day hike to the glacier there. For sure one of the most amazing places on earth. We were also very lucky to see the mountain without clouds on the sky. Cheers

It is a great place. Did you hike up Snowbird pass?

Stunning capture a beautiful picture indeed.love the colours and contrast.well done

Hello, beautiful photography the scenery is incredible. Greetings.

That really is an amazing photo. I am taking a trip through Colorado and Utah right now. Sights are brilliant. Canada I've only explored in Nova Scotia. Haha. Not quite like the west though. Cheers!

Sounds like a cool trip.

Just beautiful. I can't wait to see it someday.

Hopefully you get the chance.

We are extremely hopeful. That is just amazing.

This is truly amazing place to be. One of the best mountain photos I have seen. I wish I could see this view.

Thanks. If your ever up in Canada it is worth it for sure.

Ahh I would've guessed this was either somewhere in the Rockies or in Western Canada.

It is a special part of the world.

Oh, my God ??? is this your greatness ?? it's amazing to the beauty of this nature ... I think this is the best photo in 2018
