Sunset Hills

The colorful end of one day sets the tone for the beginning of the next. Today is yesterdays future and tomorrows past, but in light of it all we only live in the present. It's wonderful to be present at a sunset like this which was observed by a large group of people. Even as the colors faded people were reluctant to leave not wanting the experience to end.

Wow.. Awesome shot. Looks like a prehistoric dinosaur land or something. I dunno why that comes to mind, heh. Maybe the old volcano looking mountain and how green it is with the red sunset, I dunno.. Really cool though! Super dramatic! A great one to add to the collection! I could see this selling on 4x6 or bigger as well!

I can certainly relate to the dinosaur comparison as I have had similar thoughts in the past. I have seen T-Rex footprints exposed in the sandstone up in northern Arizona. Thank you paul!

Wonderful sunset scenery, really you have captured a marvelous shot. I enjoy the beauty of nature.

I'm so glad you like it and that this nature is here for many people to enjoy. Thank you sir!

wow,it's best of the nature photography.

That sure is a nice thing to say, thank you!

I think you like nature and hills.

I actually thrive on it, because it serves as a therapy for well being. I think you like nature as well.

You never really fail to amaze us buddy :)

Awesome shot

Hey buddy' thanks for the compliment. I hope you have such beauty in your part of the world.

In this capture i see more vegetation! Right!..

Yes you are right. Some areas have more trees than others. Most of these trees are only 15 to 25 feet tall.

Not everyone has the privilege of seeing beautiful sunsets. You are privileged to see such a beautiful show. Here on the island where I live we are also privileged. Beautiful take. Greetings Mr. Michael

You are so right and I'm so grateful to live in such a magnificent place to enjoy this colored light. I agree with your sense of privilege and the value of the show, it's great thank you and best wishes to you and your cute little boy. Live in joy!

Great colorful photo, the sky has been very colorful these days, I would like to know the reason.

This is a good question and i'm glad you asked it. The air we breathe also serves to filter the suns light. When the air is dry it is less dense and so more light gets through. when the sun sets through dry air it can be to bright to look at and will show little to no color, and a red sun shows humidity. So when you add moisture to the air you increase the filter effect and this is most noticeable at sunset. As the sun declines to the horizon it passes through more and more atmosphere until it sets. We see the color because of moisture in the air, this also defines clouds which are from condensation. Relative humidity shows the percentage of moisture the air is holding. Air is most dense at sea level and gets thinner as you go up. That's why most weather occurs at 10,000 feet and under.

Very well explained, it's good to know that you know all that, so I ask more questions like this.
