5 Stages of a Panoramic Sunrise

We camped up at the overlook and woke up to a great sunrise. Here's how the sunrise progressed. I went with my sister @sjarvie5
First image is during the height of the sunrise which was actually the second image in the series but the one I wanted to post first

ALL PANOS

these are all panorama images... i haven't looked through the other images yet... but when you take a panorama tripod you tend to end up with a bunch of panoramas.

Early twilight light is hitting the peak not the sunlight itself just the light from the upcoming dawn... you can still see stars out. It's actually still early enough you can still see the the milky way.

sun starts to hit Notch peak and some of the hills behind it.

I stepped back and got a few from further out showing off the sun lighting up the peak we were on.

last but not least I tried another spot and as you can see the sun was already back behind some clouds so you have more of a soft light across the peak

Daggummmmmm, these are all so pretty, but the lighting in 3 really gets me going. So beautiful.

Thanks ... yeah it has a bit of the sunrise still lingering and the sun shine on the mountain doesn't it?

For sure! Just perfect in my opinion.

Number 3 is my favorite! I just found out my camera can do panorama straight in camera. Seeing this post makes me want to go try it out!

Yeah that's very handy. However to make my pics look like mine I need RAW images and luckily Lightroom even makes panoramas DNG-RAW. So there is a nice trade-off.

I'm going to agree with you that the one you chose was the best thumbnail. They are all cool shots but I love the warm tones on the left and the cool tones on the right. Nice and colorful, and dramatic. Great work as always!

Looks awesome dude, I'd have gone with you, the header image takes it for me!

Wow.. I can see the stars @ the no. 1
No. 5 looks like daybreak
Splendid photo

i am struggling between 2. (one that you posted first) and 3. i like the sky more on the 2. but the rocks looks nicer on 3.

Yeah that's probably a good assessment

All of them are great! I loved No. 1.

Thanks
