Here are shots captured of a White Peacock butterfly using a Canon 80D camera with a 70 - 300mm lens.
They are found all across South America, Central America and predominantly in the Southeastern United States. They also are common in Southern Texas.
The most often eaten food by these butterflies in Florida is a plant known as a Shepherd's Needle plant. On these plants is usually where you will also find their eggs. They are easily noticed if present, for the eggs are bright green in color.
Truly magnificent creatures!
