My sister went to college at the University of Denver so my parents and I got to visit her for the first time in summer 2016. I've lived in sea level towns like Los Angeles most of my life so my first time in Denver was a struggle with the elevation. We put our lungs to the test when we hiked up to St. Mary's Glacier, but when you wheezed your way up there the scenery was worth it. You can taste how much cleaner the air is up there compared to dense city living in LA.
I've been back once since then for her graduation but she's still living out there. Hopefully will make some more trips out there soon. Would love it if I could go to the Red Rocks Amphitheater someday.
