I’m a sucker for geometry. Even before I had a camera for a brain I was mesmerized by shapes and patterns and how they form the foundation of the physical world which manifests around us.
I’m also enthralled with color, especially RED. Especially when it pops.
So combining leading lines - one of the fundamental geometric principals of photography - with pops of RED is a study that fascinates me.
There’s a sense of excitement and drama, a visceral passion in such images...
That I simply cannot resist.
What do you think❓
I don't know much about photography (reminds me of a song) I'm technically challenged but I'm okay with it. I like the clean lines too but I don't think I have an eye for them....not yet.
I love red. I have red splashes all around my house. I also like to see splashes of deep yellows.
Is that Linda in the tunnel? ...😂

Who’s Linda? 🤔 These are my friends, Susan and Armineh; also photographers.
I think the best way to learn photography is to go out and be a photographer. The technical stuff is easily learned when you’re ready. But it’s my opinion that finding your voice is far more important.

I am a sucker for geometry, too! And I remember reading somewhere that red is the color that you want to have in your photos. Because it creates emotions like no other color. I love all of your shots! How did you do the first one, by the way? Did you add the girl in photoshop?

Thanks, Dan! RED is simply the best color. Period. When properly used, it evokes so much.
And yes...the girl was superimposed. But she belongs there, no?

Yes she does and that's my favorite photo - it reminds me of something - you even put in a shadow for her....great job.

That's a looooooong story about a little girl lost. One that hasn't been told to anyone. I saved your photo to my desktop if that's okay.
