More SoCal Beach Sunsets

There are days I cannot wait to move out of Los Angeles. It’s stiflingly expensive. It’s transient and superficial. It’s crowded. It can take two hours to travel 15 miles and that’s assuming you survive the trip. Sometimes you cannot breath through all of the smog and entitlement. And unless you’re a millionaire, you cannot even begin to hope to buy a home, let alone live in a space big enough to stretch your legs.

So why am I here?

I can give you three excellent reasons...

Lovely reasons but.....can't you get amazing views somewhere else??

Yeah I’m sure I could. We are actually trying to get out of here.

Yes...Yes...Yes! Couldn't agree more.

Glad I’m not alone. Nice to meet you 😊

Nice to meet you as well. My wife and I both grew up in LA County. We just moved back a couple of years ago to be closer to grandkids but, as we near retirement, California is looking less and less attractive...except for the weather, and beaches, and...

We moved here because my husband was in the film business. And the weather is definitely seductive.

Those damn agave family flowers are everywhere! There are plenty growing on the hills here

Is that what they are? I wouldn’t have known.

Yes. The weird thing about that family is that they are monocarpic, meaning they flower and then they die. Although by the time they do that, they have made plenty of suckers and baby plants around them

As I told you before I loved the weather in San Diego!

I like to visit there but wouldn't want to live there. I recently heard something about people not being able to sleep in their RVs in LA?

A buddy and I were talking the other day about the majority of the stuff we own legally here would be illegal in CA.

Hmmm...I’m afraid to ask you what you own 😧
