Aceh a province rich in cultural customs and arts, various ethnic Acehnese dances are continuously preserved by inheriting each generation from generation to generation.

Not only in the Aceh region, this Seudati dance is one of the most famous traditional dances of Aceh to Manca Negara, this dance often performs to represent the Aceh provinces in national art festivals and world cultural events.
According to historical records, Seudati dance began to grow and develop in an inland Gigieh village, Simpang Tiga sub-district, Pidie district, which at that time was led by a Tam Tam.
Slowly Seudati dance began to develop in the village and other districts and cities in Aceh, one of the Village Didoh, District Mutiara, Pidie Aceh at that time Seudati is led by Syeh Ali Didoh.
Over time, Seudati dance is spreading and growing rapidly to other Acehnese community and now Seudati dance is mastered by art lovers in all provinces of Aceh.
Seudati dance is not just performing on stage, but formerly Seudati dance is also used by religious figures for media preaching in the wider community.
The poet in the Seudati dance was able to foster the spirit for the young Acehnese to rise from the slump at that time, this dance is very frequent on stage art performances until now.
As I mentioned above, Seudati Aceh Dance was originally used as a medium for submission of da'wah, but at this time Seudati dance as dance performances. To name Seudati comes from the word Shahadah testified.
Seudati name is very big this is the same nuanced verses of procedures and religious teachings are usually performed in this dance movement. Seudati dance is also contained mormoral messagesat serve as guidance in public life.

The sound of pats, the pounding of the feet and the finger excerpts sounded harmonious with the rhythm of poetry.
For clothing worn by players Seudati Aceh it is a special outfit with the meaning of customs and customs, the clothes of these dancers are usually a tight white shirt and long sleeves and long pants plus songket Aceh cloth accessories are in use at the waist, while Rencong Aceh dis waist and wear a "Tangkulok" cloth or red cloth.
