About

Shot in New Zealand, We got lucky with an almost completely clear sky. Other than colour corrections, this shot is not photoshopped, this is exactly what we saw out of our own eyes that night aswell.

When shooting astrophotography, you want to use a high aperture, hence F2.8 for this photo. Your shutter speed should stay around and below 20seconds as anything longer will cause star trails to appear in your photos due to the movement of the earth. Use your ISO to compensate for your exposure settings.

very nice i always wanted to go into the country with a telescope and watch the stars at night!

Damn, that's a beautiful picture!

Makes me want to try some astrophotography again, it's been at least 9 years since I last tried. If I recall, I tried exposing the sky for like 5 minutes or something, and I wondered why am I not getting good results, haha.

But anyways, upvoted. :) Thanks for sharing!

definitely go ahead and try again! It's not too difficult once you understand the basic setting rules for astrophotography. I'd say the hardest part is finding a nice clear dark sky, then again, i am a city boy :)

Astrophotography! I love it. Simply AMAZNG!

Nice shot with Orion setting. An upvote from me :)
