Let me say this. Penguins have some serious attitude and also some charm to them and their behaviour. It is a lot of fun just to sit at a breeding colony and watch these tiny, adorable creatures interact with one another and the people that have come to watch them in their natural world. This shot I took, I had about 20 minutes of simply waiting for to ferry people back to the ship from the colony on shore, which is on an Island called Booth Island on the Antarctica Peninsula.
When this Gentoo came right up to me sitting in my zodiac and decided to stare me down for quite a long time. Personally, I think the zodiac I was in was where he wanted to get into the water and as a result I got some serious attitude from it. Hope it brings bit of a smile to everyone's face today, as it always does to mine.
