📷 The Lion's Head at Sunset

Besides the Table Mountain and the Signal Hill, the Lion's Head is the most iconic landmark in Cape Town's cityscape. In contrast to the Table Mountain, on which a cable car takes you, and the Signal Hill, whose summit can be reached by car, you have to climb the Lion's Head yourself. As the descent in the dark can be a bit dangerous, I decided to watch the sunset from the Signal Hill and was rewarded with this fantastic view of the Lion's Head!

Neben dem Tafelberg und dem Signal Hill, ist der Lion's Head das markanteste Wahrzeichen im Stadtbild von Kapstadt. Im Gegensatz zum Tafelberg, auf den eine Seilbahn führt und dem Signal Hill, dessen Gipfel man mit dem Auto erreichen kann, muss man den Lion's Head selbst erklimmen. Da der Abstieg im Dunkeln nicht ganz ungefähr ist, entschied ich mich, den Sonnenuntergang allerdings vom Signal Hill aus zu bewundern und wurde mit dieser tollen Aussicht auf den Lion's Head belohnt!
