The perfect African Sunset

in photofeed •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hey Steemers,

I just wanted to share this beautiful photo with you in the hopes that it would make you smile! Read further to see why this makes me smile :)

Settings:ISO 1000, f/6.4, 1/2900 sec
Camera:Fujifilm XT-2
Lens:Fuji 18-55 f/2.8-4.0 (18mm)

This photo was taken an hour or so before sunset in Tsavo National Park, in Kenya. This photo makes me smile because it represents Africa. From the beautiful Baobab tree in the middle, to the gazelles running on either side, Africa is the birth of human kind and a special place in my heart.

Let me know in the comments below which place in the world makes you smile every time you think of it?

Until next time,

Tristan

This is beautiful, but for me it's Iceland. :)

Ah man! I’m pretty sure mine will change to Iceland too once I go there hahaha! Or at least that’s the vibe I get from seeing everyone’s amazing Iceland photos 👌

Well, it depends on you! Iceland is more my style - always been more attracted to cooler, rockier landscapes than tropics and deserts. :)

Such a great picture. Africa has a special place in my heart as well. Everything about it is magical, from the sunrise on the Serengeti, the animals, to the traditions of the local tribes people. I can't help but smile when I think about my time there and I can't wait to go back. Here is one of the sunrise pictures I took after we slept out on the Serengeti during our safari.

Im so glad that Africa makes you smile too :) It really sounds like you got a feel for the place! Did you travel to Tanzania? And thank you for sharing your photograph! I had a look at your blog and I love your pictures... I gave you a follow and I look forwards to seeing more of your images :)

Thanks for the follow. I started following you as well. It's nice to see other pictures from Africa. Yes I did travel to Tanzania. I lived in a Maasai village with a tribe outside of Ashura and then stayed in Mto wa Mbo for a bit while we worked in a medical clinic. I am planning on returning to Tanzania during the summer of 2019 to film a documentary. Right now I am finalizing the funding, travel, and getting my team put together.

Thank you very much Anthony :)

It did make me smile! Such a wonderful photograph, Tristan! The place that makes me smile is Glen Coe, Scotland! So stunning!
I went back and read your intro and was very touched by your life. I'm so sorry you lost your lovely mom. I have a daughter born on 1995 and I just felt for you! I send you a big hug! Quite amazed by your strength and your talent with the camera! Looking forward to seeing more of your photography!

Thank you for reading my introduction and taking the time to write this for me. I really appreciate your kind words, people like you and comments like this is what gives me strength. There will definitely be no shortage of photos, thank you for all your kind support :)

Pemandangan yang sangat bagus

Nice! I just googled this and it looks amazing :)
