Tonight was the night... The Blood moon was showing. It would be the longest eclipse of the century :)
So I took my camera and went on the road. The spot I picked wasn't a quite one ;)
On the next picture you can see already a little peek of the moon.
It took quite some time before you really got to see some really nice eclipse, I tried to get it on camera..
Pictures could have been better, but I only took my 18-200 lens.. Sorry :)
It was great to see, strange that this will not happen within the next 100 years or so.....

I only had like a crappy dot which wasnt even clear if it was the moon of a dirty lens hahahahah.
These kinds of nature things are so super nice I find, the one thing that beats it are total solar eclipses..that is something so exceptional I find!

het duurde ook ff, was om 21.30 gaan staan maar om 22.30 begonnen pas de eerste contouren zichtbaar te worden.. :) De hele donkere zijn van 23.00 uur

Quite jealous that it was too cloudy here because I was waiting until the magic moment, the days before the moon was visible from our outside our home.. but the sky was filled with clouds yesterday :(

No need to apologize for the images, you did a great job. We looked all over for the moon, but couldn't find it at all. It reappeared from behind clouds after the whole event was over :(

Gorgeous, Peter! Here in heavy monsoonal rainy season there was no chnce to see anything (it POURED rain!) but we FELT that deep primal darkness and the pull towards the light. Lovely post.
