Intentionally breaking the rules!

in photofeed •  7 years ago
Just a family walking out of the cinema theatre. It is almost night time and the environment is very colourful, you may notice the centered subject in the photo!

If you actually follow the photographic rules, I did take this picture against all if them!!!!
  • My subject is in the center.
  • My subject is walking in the opposite of the European reading direction (left to right).
  • The horizon line is in the middle.
  • And there is nothing interesting in any of my rule of third cross points.

But hey, rules are meant to be broken sometimes!!! And in the end, I guess the white arrow is what gives the all thing to this photograph!

nice

Yep, rules are made to be broken! Understanding them is the key to breaking them correctly! Great shot!

Your words are just so true and we'll said! Thanks for the compliment :)

I see it that way: there are no rules in photography, simply guidelines. Eye-catching photo, by the way.

Thanks for the compliment brother. I like your thoughts on these rules :)
