One of my favorite places in New Zealand is the area surround Mt. Taranaki. Mt. Taranaki is one of the most symmetrical volcano cones in the world and is just absolutely gorgeous. We parked our van in a hiking trail parking lot and stayed there for the night. I thoroughly enjoyed waking up to this view and enjoying a cup of coffee while soaking it all in.
