My Everyday Ritual for @photogames

in photofeed •  7 years ago

Now that I'm no longer a Photo Star for @photogames this week, I actually get to play in the games which I'm excited about. Today @photogames gave the assignment to take a picture of something that's part of your everyday routine.

Almost every single morning I wake up, shower, then make myself a cup of pour over coffee (usually in a to-go mug because I'm running late for work). Today I don't have to be at work until a little later than normal, so I had time to make my coffee and sip it while editing some pictures. I snapped this picture while making my coffee (I don't usually make coffee on the windowsill, but that's where the light is, so that's where I went) and it's my entry into the Everyday Rituals contest. Btw, today I'm drinking some tasty Florin Ethiopia Adado coffee today. It's a coffee roastery in Columbus that is owned by some friends of mine and they accept cryptocurrency as payment if you're interested in getting yourself some beans ;)

Why is coffee so good?! Funny thing is I never really liked coffee until about 2 years ago and now I can't live without it.

"I don't usually make coffee on the windowsill, but that's where the light is, so that's where I went"

ha ha ha

Right!? I absolutely love it. Who knew water mixed with a roasted bean could taste so good!

Much wisdom here. :) Have you tried the AeroPress?

I haven't tried an AeroPress yet! I'd love to though. Is that what you use? If so, what do you think are advantages over other methods?

I use it pretty much all the time. It leaves you with what's basically a double shot espresso, but with out the harsh edge that you usually get with espresso. The gadget cleans easily, too, which is helpful (that's my main quibble with the french press and standard coffee maker- they don't clean easily).

Anyway, would recommend that you try one out. :) Looks like they run about $30 on Amazon. (and I'm not sponsored :D )

Here's a nice demonstration on how it's used:

Looks really cool! I'm definitely gonna have to get one eventually. That video was really helpful to understand how it actually works. Thanks for sharing!

You're welcome. Steem on! :)

nice photography, surely tasty coffee, with a fragrant smell, enjoy it, thank you for sharing, @yumyumseth.

Wow that’s a funky kettle spout.

Haha yeah, it's called a gooseneck spout, makes it super easy to pour really precisely which is nice for making pour over!
